Every media schedule is associated with a proposal and every proposal is associated with an advertiser. If this proposal is for a new advertiser, you will need to add the new advertiser in Accounts before creating the proposal.
About a schedule created for a proposal...
• The schedule is associated with the proposal.
• You can only open the associated schedule by opening the proposal first.
• The Schedules tab (next to the Proposals tab at the top of the page) lists stand-alone schedules and not any schedule associated with a proposal.
To create a proposal:
1. Click the Proposals tab.
2. Select the Advertiser:
• Click the button at the end of the Advertiser box.
• Optionally, search for the advertiser by typing at least two letters in the Search Advertiser Name box.
• Click the advertiser's name to highlight it.
• Click OK.
OR Add a new advertiser. See Related topics... below for more information.
3. Type a name up to 40 characters in the Proposal Name box.
If you don't name the proposal, Tapscan will assign a default name. Names can include all keyboard characters except ~ (tilde) and | (pipe).
4. Select the brand and/or product if you defined them when you created the advertiser:
• Click the arrow and select a brand from the list.
If you created a product, but not a brand, you need to select No Brand in the brand list to display the product(s).
• Click the arrow and select a product from the list.
5. Click the flight calendar button to select flight dates. See Related topics... below for more information.
Tapscan automatically updates the Length and Hiatus boxes in the Create New Proposal panel.
6. Click the Create Proposal button to save the proposal.
7. Continue work on the proposal in the Details, Schedule and other tabs.
