If you lined up all the station's listeners from youngest to oldest, the person in the middle would represent the median age for that station.
Unlike average age that can be skewed by a few extreme values, median age represents the middle point for a station or the market. By comparing the median age of a station to the median age of the market, you can see how closely they mirror each other.
The base age is 12+ for all markets in the Median Age report.

• Median Age table — a vertical orientation that allows you to use the most possible estimates. It shows selected age cells by station.
• Median Age graph — a horizontal or vertical bar chart based on the sort estimate and selected stations (see Related topics... below).

To create a Median Age report:
1 Select basic parameters and generate the report.
2 Select the Estimates link in the parameter pane to reduce the number of columns.
All estimates appear in the report when you generate the first time.
