Open a schedule template with one click to get started fast. Include frequently used parameters in a template file that you can open to build specific schedules for specific clients.
To create a schedule template...
1. Create a new schedule for a template:
• Click the Schedules tab.
• Type TEMPLATE and the media type in the Schedule Name box at the top of the Create New Schedule page.
OR include TEMPLATE with the advertiser or market name.
2. Set start and end flight dates and click the Create Schedule button.
Use a common number of weeks for a regular advertiser or set the dates to one week. When you use the template to create a "real" schedule, you can adjust and shift flight dates as needed.
3. Select the market, survey, demo and geography parameters you use most often and click the button, and then Click
Save in the toolbar at the top of the page .
4. Select the media type tab and add flights to the schedule grid:
• Click the media type tab.
• Open the Actions menu in the toolbar and select Add Flights.
• Choose frequently used stations or vendors.
• Add the dayparts or ad types that you use the most.
• Fill in spots/units and rates if there are standards you frequently use.
• Repeat step 4 for another media type.
5. Click Save in the toolbar at the top of the page.
6. Rearrange the schedule grid and estimate columns as desired.
7. Save the schedule as a template and as a backup template for insurance:
• Click Save to store the updated TEMPLATE schedule.
• Then click Save As to store a backup copy:
– Add BACKUP to your template name.
– Click Save.
Backups are great insurance in case you accidentally overwrite your template.
To start a schedule with the template...
1. Click the TEMPLATE name link in the list on the Schedules tab page.
2. Click Save As in the toolbar and rename the schedule:
• Type a new name with up to 40 characters.
• Type a description for the schedule using up to 120 characters.
• Click Save.
3. Reset the start and end flight dates for the new schedule.
4. Adjust the survey and other parameters as needed, and click the button.
5. Update spots/units and rates in the Add Flight dialog or manually.
