The first time you apply changes in the parameter pane for a new schedule, you are prompted to add a new radio flight group including stations, weeks, dayparts, spots, length, and unit rates through the Add Flight dialog. You can then select the Add Flights option in the Actions menu to add additional flights to one or more stations.
Radio Flight groupings are displayed only on the Station Distribution view. Radio Flights can be added only from the Station Distribution view on the Radio tab.
If your schedule already contains Radio rows, you can also access the Add Flights dialog by clicking on the Radio Total link in the top row of the schedule grid.
When you click OK in the dialog, Tapscan adds a new flight to the schedule
To add A Flight to a radio schedule:
1. Open the Actions menu in the toolbar and select Add Flights.
2. Tapscan will provide a default name for your flight, such as Flight A. Optionally, you can update the Flight name.
3. Select stations that you plan to include in you schedule:
• Click the add stations link or the edit stations link to display the Stations dialog. You can then select stations that can be assigned to your flight.
At this point, you do not have to include all the selected stations in the current flight. By selecting the desired stations, you are making them available for inclusion in flights that you plan to add later.
To change stations in the list...
– Use the Search filters to filter the list of radio stations.
– Click stations in the Available box.
– Click the button to move highlighted stations to the Selected box.
– Click OK to close the Select Stations dialog.
The Available Stations list in the Add Flight dialog is refreshed and displays a new list of the selected stations.
• Click stations in the Available list to highlight and select them.
OR click the in the Available box heading to highlight and select all stations.
• Click highlighted items in the Available list again to clear the highlight and selection.
Tapscan adds the flight with the same weeks, rows, spots, lengths and rates to each station in the Selected list. To add flights with different contents, or to add flights to a different set of stations, repeat the Add Flights workflow.
4. Accept the list of week(s) displayed.
OR click highlighted weeks in the Available list to clear the highlight and selection.
To change available weeks and flight dates, click the Start/End Date link on the parameter pane.
Your new flight now contains the weeks that appear in the Selected list when you submitted the Add Flight dialog.
5. Accept the default Dayparts selection.
OR click the edit dayparts link to change dayparts in the Available list.
To change dayparts in the list...
• Remove dayparts:
– Click and highlight dayparts in the Selected box.
– Click the button to move selected dayparts to the Available box.
• Select standard dayparts or create custom dayparts.

• Click the button to move dayparts to the Selected box.
• Click OK.
The Daypart list in the Add Flight dialog refreshed and displays a new list of selected dayparts.
6. Type values for spots, length, and unit rate to be applied to each row of your flight. Each row will have the same values when the flight is first added.
• The Spots must be a whole number with no decimals.
• The Length is measured in seconds and must be a multiple of 5 between 5 and 120.
• The Unit Rate is a maximum of $99,999.
7. Click OK to close the dialog and add flight to the schedule.
8. Click Save in the toolbar to keep your changes.
OR click Save As to assign a new name to the updated schedule:
• Type a new name.
• Click Save.
