Goals are the basis of every radio proposal. You define budget, GRP and CPP goals for each market in a proposal . You can also add dayparts and define goals for those dayparts.
Defined goals and actuals are only available for a radio schedule associated with a proposal.
To define goals:
1 Click the Proposals tab.
2 Select the proposal:
• Optionally, search for the name:
– Click the button in the toolbar.
– Select columns to search and click OK.
– Type at least two characters in the search box and click the Search button.
To return to the original list and clear the search, click the Show All Rows link.
• To sort a column, click the column heading. Click again to reverse the order in the same column.
A
black arrow on top means the sort is in ascending order (lowest to highest). A
black arrow on the bottom means the sort is in descending order (highest to lowest).
• Click the name link.
3 Click the Goals tab.
4 Optionally, change any parameters for the schedule:
Parameters displayed in the Goals pane are the defaults for a new schedule or existing parameters for the radio schedule associated with this proposal.
• Click the link for the parameter you want to change.
You can only select one market. See Related topics... below for more information.
• Click after changing the parameter to update the details.
5 Open the Actions menu in the toolbar and choose options to select dayparts, change goal calculations or add weeks.

6 Add budget details:
• Click the budget and GRP goals box for each market in the Flight Goals columns and type the values you want. Then press the Tab key after typing each value.
• If you selected dayparts, type the goals for each daypart under the market's row. Then press the Tab key.
To expand the dayparts for a market or week, click the
plus sign before the market or week.
• If you selected weeks, type the goals for each daypart under each week's row. Then press the Tab key.
• If the schedule includes more than one demo, click the Demographics arrow in the toolbar to select a demo. You can add the goals separately for each of your demos.
The primary demo is the default.
• To distribute your goals evenly across the flight, open the Actions menu and select Distribute.
• If you don't want Tapscan to automatically update rows when you change a value, clear the check in the Detail Column Distribute box in the toolbar.
If you want to clear the details you added before saving, click
Undo in the toolbar.
7 Click Save in the toolbar to keep your changes.
After saving goals and a radio schedule with the necessary avail details, you can click
Display Actuals in the Goals toolbar to show the differences between goals and actuals.
