Broadcast Trender

A Broadcast + Digital Trender report shows how your station or station combo has performed over time. By using this report, you can track trends of your over-the-air, stream, or combined audience.

Different views

You can view or print PDF versions of each report view. You can also export the report to a comma-delimited .csv file which will look like the table view without formatting.

• Broadcast Trender table - A vertical orientation that shows stations and estimates for each selected survey, with OTA, Streaming and/or Totals grouped by station, and estimates repeated for each OTA, Streaming, and Total component. The last columns display a comparison for the last two surveys and/or surveys a year apart and are available in the report if the appropriate surveys are selected.

• Broadcast Trender graph - A horizontal bar, vertical bar, or line graph of one estimate. You may either show multiple broadcast types (OTA, Streaming, and Total) for a single station, or a single broadcast type for multiple stations, across all selected surveys. The default graph contains the first station selected in the Estimate dialog, for all broadcast types selected from the Estimates dialog, and all surveys. To show multiple stations, select more than one station from the Stations to Graph dialog and a single broadcast type from the estimates dialog. You can also select the sort and graph estimate in the Estimates parameters dialog.

• Pop/Intab view details demo and population (by survey) information used to produce the report.

To create a Trender report:

1  Create the report:

• Select the Research tab, and then select the Digital sub-tab.

• Click arrowprofile and select a market from the list.

• At the top of the Digital sub-tab, on the Broadcast section, select the Trender check box.

• Click Generate Report.

2  Select two or more surveys as a series for trending.

3  On the Parameter pane, click the Estimates link to adjust the included estimates and Broadcast Types, and then select an estimate for sorting and graphing. If you select more than one broadcast type while multiple stations are selected for graphing, the system re-selects the first station to graph. The graph cannot display both multiple broadcast types and multiple stations. If desired, you can select a different single station to graph.

tipMake sure your estimates interact the way you expect.

4  On the Parameters pane, click the Station link to select stations.

Or, Limit the stations by clicking dropdown icon adjacent to the Display Top control.

5  If you wish to change the stations appearing in the graph, click the Stations to Graph link to open the Stations to Graph dialog. If you select more than one station while multiple broadcast types are selected, the system selects the Total Broadcast type. The graph cannot display both multiple stations and multiple broadcast types. If desired, you can select a different Broadcast Type instead of Total.

6  Change other parameters as desired. See Related topics... for more information.

7  Click Apply Changes to generate the report.
