Use this report to demonstrate to advertisers the value of your total audience in terms of how much spending power they can influence — both within and outside their core demo.
Your advertiser's demo might be Men 18-34. But you can't keep other demographics from listening to your station, now can you? Especially since those other listeners have spending power in your selected category too!
This report requires a subscription to Nielsen respondent level radio data service.
You can view or print PDF versions of each report view. You can also export Retail Spending Power reports to a comma-delimited .csv file for importing into a spreadsheet.
View samples:
• Station view — compares your target audience's spending to the market audience's spending for the same category and shows the bonus you'll receive using the station.
• Station view with custom demo and socio-economic characteristics
• Pop/Intab view shows the demo, total population and in-tab.
To create a Station Spending Bonus report:
1 Click the Demo* link and select your target audience from the standard or custom tab.
The expenditure model is based on 18+ respondent level data. You can select socio-economic characteristics for this report. Ethnic selecctions apply to the base demo too.
2 Select a retail category or store/business type:
• Click the Category* link.
• Click the Show arrow and select Collapse All to view available categories.
• Click a category button to select all options in the category.
OR click to display all the items in the category and click an individual item.
• Click OK.
You can choose only one category or one store/business type.
3 Select a station:
• Click the Station* link.
• Select a station from the drop-down list.
• Click OK.
4 Click the Annual link to change the time period displayed in the report:
• Choose Annual, Monthly, Weekly, or Daily.
• If you choose Monthly, select the start and end months in the drop-down boxes.
All spending power estimates in the report are based on the time period you select.
• Optionally, type a name and click Save to keep your selections as a favorite.
• Click OK.
5 Select a daypart.
Your daypart selection will impact the demo estimates, weekly population and expenditure values in the report.
