A Trender report shows how a station or stations have performed over time because radio is an ever-changing medium.
Selected stations don’t appear in your Trender report if those stations are dark in earliest selected survey.
Definitions
Average Persons is a factor of Cume and Time Spent Listening (Hr:Min).
• It's great if your Average Persons is up. You can add emphasis by incorporating why.
• If your Average Persons went up because of an increase in Time Spent Listening (Hr:Min), you can say, "Our Average Persons has increased, which means more people will hear your commercial every time it airs. The reason for this increase is that listeners are spending more time with the station. They must really like what they are hearing."
Share is a factor of a station's Average Persons and the Average Persons for the market.
• Share (%) = Station Average Quarter-Hour Persons / Market Average Quarter-Hour Persons.
• This makes Share tricky in sales. Just because your Share went up or down, doesn't mean your station is delivering more or less audience to potential advertisers.
• Share is an indicator of performance against the market in a survey period or daypart. A 5 Share in one place doesn't mean the same number of listeners as a 5 Share in another place.
You can view or print PDF versions of each report view. You can also export the report to a comma-delimited .csv file which will look like the table view without formatting.
